2008 T-shirts are almost history
October 14, 2008

If you did not get your 2008 SpokeFest Inaugural shirt, it will still be waiting for you
at Mountain Gear, until November 8th only. Don't miss out.

SpokeFest 2009
October 04, 2008

The date is set for Sunday September 13, 2009. If you missed being part of the largest
ride in Spokane history in 2008, SpokeFest 2009 is sure to take over that title. Be sure
to put it on your calendar.

The Shirts are Coming, The Shirts are coming!
September 18, 2008

SpokeFest 2008 shirts arrive at Mountain Gear on 9/19/08. Mountain Gear is located at
2002 N. Division in Spokane. These are for anyone who rode the event and did not get one
that day. Hopefully we can identify you by the list that we have, or by you bringing in
your wristband from the event. We also have 500 of those blue bags, provided by VPI Home
Solutions, so the sooner you get your shirt, the more chance you have of getting a bag
too. Thanks for your patience. Wear your shirt proudly.

Everyone gets a T-shirt!
September 08, 2008

We would like to thank each of the 1255 riders who made the First Annual SpokeFest a
huge success. Smiles were abundant. We also thank our 70 or so volunteers, and our
sponsors. We believe that we have all participated in the LARGEST RIDE IN SPOKANE
HISTORY. We also appreciate your understanding of our non-profit volunteer SpokeFest
Association putting on a first time event. We learned a few things, and plan to correct
them for next year (when we hope to see you all back). Everyone gets a T-shirt! We will
be printing a new batch shortly, and will make them available for pickup at Mountain Gear
in about 2 weeks. Watch the NEWS section of this website for confirmation of their
arrival. We should have counted on Spokane enthusiasm to come through again, and on a
perfect weather day, but couldn't have guessed that we needed 1255 shirts. Thank you for
your patience.

Bike Rodeo in the Post Street Finish Area
September 03, 2008

What's a bike rodeo? It's an opportunity for kids to learn and practice bike safety
skills while having fun. They'll learn basic information on how to ride safely, such as
hand signaling and crossing streets, learn how to correctly wear their helmets, and
practice maneuvering their bikes by riding along a course. This is a great way to educate
your children on how to handle their bikes in your neighborhood and on the street.
